Our cute baby

Here's two I took today. Isn't he cute?

We went to his first doctors appointment yesterday and everything went well. In his first 5 days he had gained back 4 of the 5 ounces he lost at the hospital so is now at 5 lb 13 oz.

For a fun story, he was having a pooping spree right before we went to the doctor - having 2 consecutive dirty ones within a few minutes. Then when we got there I had to take off his diaper for him to be weighed and what did we have? Another poopy one. So I tried to wipe it off with the diaper a little then had to wrap him up in the sanitary liner from the scale and take him back to the room to wait for the doctor. While I was trying to get a new diaper, get him cleaned up and diaper back on, he peed all over the doctors table. And that's when the doctor walks in. So then he got to clean up and disinfect the table for me. Lucky guy.

At the end of the appointment he had to get a shot. They made me hold his hands so when the needle went I had a straight shot to see his wide open mouth and tongue flailing about to scream. They left me to get him redressed right before the tears started flowing from my eyes.  I had to stay in there for awhile to dry my eyes.  So sad, to have to watch your child go through that. They should be telling you to turn around and cover your ears.  I don't think I'll be able to take any more shots.

Anyway, he's amazing.  He's been sleeping and eating so well.  Last night he only woke up once in the middle of the night to eat and he was out for the rest.   It's so fun to get to be with him all day.  He makes me happy. I could just watch him all day.
